Every hardware-driven industry is under pressure to bring products to market faster because customers expect frequent updates, better performance, and rapid improvements - just like software. But the circuits inside them still take weeks to design and are easily disrupted. The pandemic made that clear. VE is helping Circuit Mind solve this by building an instant circuit design platform.
When COVID hit, industries like automotive and aerospace paused production. Chip companies shifted their supply to consumer electronics because that was the only area still growing. But when those industries restarted, there weren’t enough chips to go around. This led to long delays, sold-out parts, and repeated circuit redesigns as engineers struggled to source what they needed.
Circuit Mind wanted to fix this by creating a platform that designs circuits using parts that are actually available and does it in seconds. But for that to work, the platform needed organized, accurate data for every part, far beyond what complicated datasheets provide.
Circuit Mind needed engineers who could read and interpret every electrical detail in a component, model its behavior correctly, and structure that information so their tool, Commodore, could use it. The work was massive - thousands of parts, each with different datasheets, and zero room for mistakes.
They also needed a team that could scale up or down based on workload, which is difficult with highly specialized roles. Hiring, training, and expanding such a team in the UK would have taken years and cost millions. Circuit Mind needed a partner who could provide skilled engineers on demand, without slowing down their mission to transform hardware design.
VE provided the specialized engineering team Circuit Mind needed. Their engineers took on the detailed work of interpreting datasheets, modelling part behavior, and turning each component into structured, reliable design data. What began as a small group led by Himanshu expanded as demand grew, giving Circuit Mind the flexible, on-demand capacity required to build and scale the platform.
Engineers studied component datasheets to capture electrical parameters, pin configurations, and operating modes. Complex parts were explained through live training sessions to reduce first-time errors.
Extracted information was entered in Circuit Mind’s proprietary tool, Commodore, using a structured tabular format. This “programming” approach represented electrical behavior in a way the system could interpret.
Commodore generated a schematic—a digital twin of the physical component. Engineers validated the schematic against the original datasheet before passing it forward.
Automated checks ensured data completeness and formatting, followed by peer review for technical accuracy. Final approval came from the Library Manager to certify client standards and release readiness.
Once validated, parts were released into the platform in weekly sprint deliveries. Continuous error logging and client feedback ensured each sprint strengthened the library.
The team worked in weekly sprint cycles, balancing delivery speed with QA depth.
Engineers collaborated directly with Circuit Mind’s team, ensuring no gap in requirements.
Errors, edge cases, and software bugs were logged and shared, improving both VE’s process and Circuit Mind’s Commodore tool.
The team grew from 2 engineers to 5 as library demands increased, ensuring throughput without loss of precision.
VE engineers flagged issues in Commodore, helping refine the tool itself.
For unfamiliar part types, resources underwent targeted training on live components.
VE handled quality reporting, tracking metrics for both quantity (parts delivered per sprint) and quality (errors logged during QA).

The Result
The team cut prototyping cycles from weeks to days, moving from concept to production-ready schematics far sooner.
Circuit designs now go from architecture to BOMs in under a minute, instead of taking weeks or months.
Parts are released only after multi-stage review, and any issues that surface in production are tracked and resolved within the next sprint.
A continuous partnership, built on daily stand-ups and weekly reviews, has kept delivery consistent.
Built the library workflows and validation process that made designs production-ready.
Created and validated digital twins, ensuring schematic and layout accuracy.
Modeled high-fidelity parts with signal and power integrity validation.
Delivered advanced power components and validated them through simulation.
Provided embedded-level checks to ensure circuit models aligned with real-world board bring-up conditions.
Linked digital twins to actual embedded behavior, ensuring reliable board implementation.
“Himanshu has been a fantastic asset to Circuit Mind. His skills have improved our product, and his team spirit makes him a true standout. We’re grateful for his contributions.”
