A snapshot of the events in 2016 that kept employees happily engaged in work and play at Virtual Employee

Chess Tournament

It’s all in the mind. VE employees made a serious start to the new year as the best minds got together to rack their brains over who would ultimately control the king.

Football Tournament

February saw the Annual VE Football tournament where the Virtual Employees sweated it out for a bit of competition and a lot of camaraderie.

Women’s Day

Women make the world go round so, it’s only fair that they should have their share of fun and a break from the daily grind. A women’s day out to Damdama Lake in Gurgaon marked a day full of adventure for the female staff. Fun –filled activities, delicious food and even a rain dance marked this joyous occasion for them.

All work and no play makes us dull boys and girls. So, to motor our limbs, the VE cricket cup comes to the rescue. The VE Cricket Cup is an annual event that brings the hidden cricketing talent in VE employees out. And that's not all.

It’s not business as usual for us. We care too.

Towards the middle of the year, Virtual Employee spent time and resources along with the NGO, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, at Burari Camp. Non-perishable items like rice, sugar, biscuits were packed into packets of 1 kg and above. Old clothes in good condition were also donated to the NGO. The HR team spent time interacting with the children and playing with them. Snacks and cold drinks were also served to the children.

Environment Day

Virtual Employee realizes that what you sow is what you reap. On this day, we got together to repeat our pledge to care for the environment. Every team planted saplings in the company premises and adopted a plant each to take care of.

Table Tennis Tournament

A skill fest of hand –eye coordination greeted onlookers in the Table Tennis Tournament as Virtual Employees showed off their sporting skills.

Proud Indians

Independence Day was another occasion for us to recall our love for the nation and cherish our freedom and health. A free health checkup camp was set up to apprise employees about their health status.

It is not enough to just cherish our freedom and we realize that there are still people in our country who do not have enough to get by on. VE put forwards its helping hands to reach out to the NGO Goonj, from 11th to 14th August. Employees generously donated old clothes, toys, chocolates and books to the NGO and spent time with the children.

Employees also had benefits lined up for them in the form of a free health camp where they got a free health checkup done and also had the offer to get full body checkups done at discounted rates.

Guess the Kid

In a throwback to our childhood, we got to see the other side of our managers in this funny and quirky game that helped refresh the employees after a hard day at work! Childhood pictures of team leads and managers were circulated and employees were asked to identify which child was who. Employees had great fun guessing.

Diwali’s talent hunt

The festival of lights got an extra dazzle as VEians got together to showcase their talent in our own version of ‘VEs got talent’. Virtual Employees sang, performed standup comedy, performed skits and played musical instruments.

Yoga Day

Health is Wealth and there is no denying that. VE employees got together to learn some yoga moves that helped them see busy workdays through and also keep their health intact.

Annual Party

The most awaited event of the year saw the Virtual Employees amp up the temperatures in winter with their hot attires and attitudes. It was also the much-awaited Annual Awards Nite. The gala event saw fabulous awards being distributed for a host of nominations such as Team Player of the Year, X Factor Ward, A-Team of the Year and, of course, the coveted Employee of the Year 2016, where employees were nominated by their clients. Attractive prizes ranging from tablets to music systems to certificates were won by the lucky winners. The evening was then set a fast pace with some foot-tapping music, fun games and dances accompanied by delicious food and beverages. .
