VirtualEmployee.com is gearing up for its second level of ISO Certification – ISO 27001, a specification for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).  Data security for clients has always been a top priority with us and this second ISO Certification is another step in that direction. An ISMS comprises a framework of policies and procedures that covers all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation's information risk management processes.

An intensive training-cum-awareness session was conducted within the office premises for all the concerned departments on ISMS. As a part of this Certification, once again, several training sessions, and implementation of approved policies and their documentation will be taking place. VirtualEmployee.com has already been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification in October 2014 — a major milestone in our continuing journey towards excellence in management systems and a wholesome customer experience.

The ISMS is "a set of policies and procedures for systematically managing an organization's sensitive data. The goal of the ISMS is to minimize risk and ensure business continuity by pro-actively limiting the impact of a security breach", elaborated Rajesh Mandal, in charge of VE’s Process Development & Maintenance, and who has been with the company almost since it started operations. Information – particularly, sensitive client data - is as precious an asset for any company as any other more tangible and visible asset.

Information that falls under the purview of ISO 27001:2013

  • Current Business Plans
  • Future Plans
  • Intellectual Property (Patents, etc)

  • Business Partners Records

VirtualEmployee.com is committed to safeguarding their client’s valuable and critical information and the second level of ISO Certification is a tangible testimony to this.

  6. All Networks have migrated to Cisco Switches and Routers.
  7. IT department has completed testing for Skype for Business server 2015, formerly Lync. Soon we will have our own Skype server.
  8. Remote login to our office Network with domain users has also been enabled using VPN and SSLVPN.

VE buys 50-seater bus to join its fleet

The company recently bought its third bus – a spacious 50-seater - to help make the office commute for its 500+ employees even more convenient. We already have two buses and 4 minivans that pick up employees from the designated spots and ferry them to and from VE’s offices that are spread across the city. However, the company is growing, our client base is increasing and recruiting in various domains is always on. It was to cater to the burgeoning employee strength that the VE management decided to purchase another bus to further ensure that employees reach their workstations well in time for their client shifts. Employee comfort has always been paramount with the VE management and sufficient measures are taken to reduce the daily stress of office travel.
