VirtualEmployee.com Managing Director Shaunvir Mahil recently attended Europe’s largest and most popular technological festival, Web Summit 2013 held in Dublin, Ireland from 30th-31st October.
The Royal Dublin Society in the Irish capital played host to some 10,000 attendees and about 350 speakers from more than 80 countries. The high-profile speakers included the Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny; Hyperloop dreamer Elon Musk (worth some 8 billion USD); Jimmy Maymann, formerly with AOL and presently the CEO of The Huffington Post – the biggest paper on the web today having tie-ups with media houses in over 9 countries; Phil Fernandez, the President and CEO of innovative marketing automation software company Marketo; the founder of DropBox; legendary skateboa rder Tony Hawk; the respective founders of Snap, Shutter Stock, Halo, Skype and a host of other luminaries in the technological world.
Also present were WordPress developer Matt Mullengweg, security gurus Eugene Kaspersky and Graham Cluley, and Cisco CTSO Padmasree Warrior.
“It was a good event and it was certainly valuable to hear what so many highly successful, global entrepreneurs had to say about business in general. Hearing their advice/tips and their stories, alongside also interacting and networking with so many business people from different parts of the world and from so many different industries was indeed a rewarding experience,” said Mr Mahil about the Dublin summit.
A big focus of the Web Summit was also Cloud Computing and Digital Marketing.
